Valentine's Day...

...is coming soon!

And I have decided to give someone some help :) For Christmas, all I wanted was a Hermes cuff. Well, since sweet little Baby Jammer surprised us, we both decided that it just wasn't in the budget.

(Disclaimer: Sweet Jammer, when you learn to read and go back and read all of Mommy's blogs like I know you will, please know how I would rather have you than all the Hermes cuffs in the world!)

It may not have the classic "H" that I so desire, but at $28, I don't hate it :)

I Love the Weekend

...And need more of them!

I had a wonderful weekend celebrating the birthday or a dear friend (and fellow blogger!), Bethany. On Sunday, Husband and I ventured out to find new (to us) furniture for Baby Jammer's room. We went to My Favorite Place, a huge flea market where the possibilities are endless. I manages to maintain myself from the antique green glass punch bowl and glasses, as well as the English riding saddle. (It was hard people.)

However, I did leave with this for Jammer's room.

(Sorry for the grainy image- taken with Husband's phone.)

We are going to use it as a changing table after we paint it. That is why it is still downstairs...and apparently our new mail table. Not to bad for $80.

But then, I found this beauty...

(If you cannot tell, I took this lovely picture. That explains why the whole piece did not make the screen.)

Thanks to our newest addition, my old closet has to become his/her room. Which means all of my clothes will be sharing a home with Husband's... Our old dresser was a cheapy from Ikea, so we are going to put it in the master closet. This new piece gives us a lot more room!

Yes, I just explained to you what I told Husband in order to get my way :) Don't you love it!?

Jessica's Baby Shower

Last Sunday, Amy, Alli, and I hosted a baby shower for our dear friend and co-worker, Jessica. I am so excited to meet Baby Boy Coleman! My incredible sister helped me out tremendously and did the decorations. (Craft stores ask me to take my business elsewhere.)

Apparently, Amy has a crafty side too! She made this adorable diaper wreath. I like this idea even more than the diaper cake, because it can be displayed on the hospital door/baby room's door.

(I chose not to make one.)

Alli did the cupcakes! How is it that everyone around me is good at this stuff?

The beautiful Mom! She is 34 weeks pregnant.
Not. Fair.

Fun Photo Idea

A few year back, Husband and I invested in a nice(r) camera. The problem? I hate being in pictures. I always hate them, so I tend to avoid them. This drives Husband crazy because we never document the cool places we visit/things we do.

Solution?

We're moving to the knee-down approach. Isn't this so cute?

Pregnancy Bug- Catch It!

Kristin Cavallari is Pregnant!

I love that celebrities are getting pregnant. I like to see what they wear, as well as take comfort in the l-bs they are putting on :) Even though Kristin played the "villain," I always liked her. (Ugh, sorry Lauren.) To be honest though, I cannot believe that she is the first Hills star to become pregnant- my money was on Spencer.

Nothing Like a Good Garden Gnome

Normally on Friday, my good friend, Bethany, from Savvy Cheap does an Etsy Feature on Fridays- referred to as EFF.

Today, I am stealing her idea. Thanks Beth.

As you know, my heart sings when I see a garden gnome. You can imagine my delight when I found this...

From Little Lark's Shop

They have tons of other cute letterpress cards at a reasonable price- six cards for $14. I am completely obsessed.

Deal of the Day.

The Law of Fashion states, "If Lindsey likes it, don't count on it going on sale. In fact, plan on it selling out."

Until now! I saw this "City of Lights" dress at Anthropologie a few weeks back, but at $178, I decided to keep shopping.

Now it is on sale for $39.95. Love it.

Like It, Love It, GOTTA HAVE IT

I decided to use Coldstone's ratings for my new favorite things.

Like It:

I really like this living room from Material Girls. I am trying to prove to Husband how amazing and unexpected pink couches are.

Love It: Baby Jammer is 14 weeks!! (Why do I call it Baby Jammer? For the most amazing school ever- Rammer Jammer!!) Jammer is the size of a lemon and is apparently peeing in me. Awesome.

GOTTA HAVE IT:

O...M...G.

Golden Globe Recap- The Good, The Bad, The Navy

Even though the Golden Globes aired Sunday night, I wasn't able to watch it until Monday on DVR thanks to the NFL playoffs. However, the pups and I quite enjoyed watching (and critiquing) the awards fashion.

Let's first face the facts, navy has become the "go-to" color. It has become one of the most popular dress colors, and the Golden Globe attendees followed suit.

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang
Isn't she stunning? This is dress is definitely in my top three for best dressed. Some critics are saying that it was too predictable. Come on people, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka
She is 66 people. Wow.

Michelle Williams in Jason Wu
Not amazed with the dress, but so much better than last year's disaster.

Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen
Not exactly navy, but in the family. I was SO close to loving this dress, but those shoulders-eek! Not sure what she is doing with that hair either.

Who got it right? These are a few of my favorite looks...

Claire Danes
Black. White. Simple. Elegant.

Jessica Alba in Gucci
Brad Goreski- you don't disappoint

Nicole Kidman in Versace.
Kills It.

Stacy Kiebler in Valentino
Apparently, she let George (Clooney. Her Boyfriend. Seriously.) choose her dress. I think he has an eye for beauty.

Now (my secret-favorite), the MISSES:

Jessica Biel in Elie Saab
Hello, creepy wedding dress

Even Madonna tried to destroy this dress...

Which leads me to my next disaster...

Madonna in Reem Acra
Maybe it is just that I find her extremely annoying

Lea Michele in Marchesa
Why don't I like it? Lea is so tiny, but I felt that it made her have linebacker shoulders. Also, it made me very nervous for a wardrobe malfunction.

Sarah Michelle Gellar in her daughter's finger paint...I mean Monique Lhullier

Zooey Deschanel in Prada
Don't wear a color that looks like a sinus infection

Natalie Portman in Lavin
Last year, she had a bump in the front. I guess she really liked it and decided to attach it to her hip.

Now, I just can't decide on how I feel about this number...

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
What do you think? I just can't decide. (Although, I can safely say that Angie's arms are looking scary skinny!)

And finally, we can't forget the REAL best dressed...

UGGIE!
Man, I love me a Jack Russell :)

Who was your best/worst dressed?

Bachelor Style Recap

I haven't always been a Bachelor/Bachelorette enthusiast. It started with Jake's season. Now it is how I define Monday nights. The first episodes are my favorites- you get to see what train wrecks people can be.

Lovely girl, fabulous blog, slightly crazy

My favorite thing is to see what they wear. Luckily, Ellie Krupnick from the Huffington-Post shares my infatuation, yet utter disturbance in women wearing diamonds and pageant make-up to the pool.

My stand out favorite from the night was precious Kacie's B.'s casual date night outfit.

This look has me very excited to transition my winter boots into spring. (So what if it is only January?) All I need is this...

(You can buy it here because it is only $8.80!)

And these...

(My staple shorts- can't go wrong.)

I am so proud of Kacie B.'s style (she is a Southern girl!) However, check out this hot mess, also known as Blakely.

She wore this to work with children. Inappropriate Much?

Sleepy Teachy

As most of you know, I write my blogs the day before I post them.

Well yesterday, I went to sleep at 4:00 pm...woke up at 5:00 am this morning.

Pregnancy + Staying Up Way Too Late Monday Night for Football= Disaster

So, sorry for the short post! Have a wonderful Hump Day!!

We're Naming Baby Ali Bama

JUST KIDDING!

However, last night was uhmaaaazing! A group of friends watched the game at some friends' house, and I was so much happier with the outcome of this game. It is GREAT to be from Alabama!

However, today I am feeling that 8:30 kickoff. EXHAUSTED! But completely worth it!
R-O-L-L T-I-D-E!!

Jason Wu for Target

As I sit in my cozy Missoni for Target sweater (thank you so much Mom and Prattville for not caring about it), I am already getting giddy for the Jason Wu for Target. Honestly, nothing will ever top my Missoni love, but I am really digging the pieces that have been released.

That dress is adorable. (However, I will be refraining from purchasing since I do not need anything belted around my waist currently.) BUT THAT PURSE! Love It. Need It. Potentially will fight someone for it. See you there- February 5th.

BIG EXCITEMENT!

Baby Harvard will be joining us this summer!

Yes, Husband and I are pregnant! I have been very lucky so far. The first trimester wasn't too bad. I had very little morning sickness- just more tired than usual.

We are feel so blessed and excited to have and dress a child. To say this wasn't part of the "plan" is the understatement of the year. However, at my last doctor's appointment, I was staring at "Baby Jammer's" ultrasound pictures, laughing to myself about the changes that were going to be happening in my carefree life. As the laughter turned to nervous jitters, I overheard a women, crying to a nurse about the difficult time she was having conceiving. I felt guilty- I had this precious baby inside me without even trying. Why me (in a good way)? It was such a reminder of what a gift children are, and I how I hope not to ever take it for granted.

I cannot wait to share with you this pregnancy!

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5

Oh, Hello Old Friend

No, it wasn't my plan to go the entire break without blogging, but life happened.

Husband and I were lucky enough to spend time with both of our families and friends. Now, back to work. Things are going to be a little different this semester. I am going to finish the year back in fifth grade. I love fifth grade (both the students and the team), so I am very excited.

In other notes, I have a new obsession in the form of Elle Fanning- Dakota's adorable little sister. She made the cover and a spread in Teen Vogue. Is it bad that I am extremely jealous of a thirteen year old?
