Deal of the Day- Summer Sandal

One thing I lucked out on is that I have short feet. They are wide, but still short- think squares. So when summer rolls around, I tend to look in the children's section because they are a.)cheaper and b.) less likely to be on everyone else's foot.

I was super excited when I found these at Target for $14.99. Grabbed a size 5 (normally I am a 7 in women's shoes) and they fit perfectly!

I was even more excited when they rang up for $11.99. Thinking of purchasing the fun pink as well!

Rock & Republic + Kohl's = Yes Ma'am

Rock & Republic has been a favorite of many (including me!) Easy on the wallet- Kohl's, has bought the rights to the posh line, and so those iconic "R's" will be seen exclusively at Kohls and Kohls.com in Spring of 2012.

Very exciting!

Great Deal!

I love my Reebok EasyTone shoes. They are my favs for walks, because they actually work! (Disclaimer: I would not suggest running a 1/2 marathon or climbing Mt. Yonah in these shoes.) I also appreciate how they don't look like Moon Shoes.

Can someone get pregnant...with twins?

Monday night, I dragged husband to one of my favorite places, Home Goods. (He should have known it was a bad idea to purchase a townhouse one block away from it.) I was in search for a dresser to go in our formally guest bedroom/now office/closet. I struck out on the dresser (more on that process later), but I found this...
maclaren_twin_techno300

I mean, I may or may not have a faux baby registry. I was ready and willing to check this bad boy off, especially when I saw that it was...

$79.99!!!!!

I begged and pleaded with husband. I explained that it normally retails for around $340.He informed me that A.) Not only was I not pregnant, that B.) When I am, what makes me think I will have twins?

I. Was. Crushed.

I test drove MY stroller around Home Goods to show how fantastic I was at weaving it through narrow aisles. I even convinced Husband that it was a great neutral color and lightweight. When he still didn't budge, I called Sister to beg her to have another child while Jake was still young enough to ride in the other seat. She gave me a no as well....

*********************************************************************************
Now, I wrote that post yesterday afternoon. I couldn't stop thinking about the stroller. Husband came home, and I continued to talk about it. I tried to explain what a great price it was, but he informed me that I was "being nothing short of crazy."  The next part of the conversation went like this...

Husband- Maybe if it had been $100 doll-

Me- IT WAS! IT WAS ONLY 79.99!!

Husband- No, it was $179.99

Me- NO! LET'S GO BACK AND I WILL PROVE IT!

There might have been a line "I'm having these imaginary twins with or without you," but I can't be sure. I finally drove back to Home Goods to claim my stroller and...

It was $179.99. Husband was right. April 13th... the day my uterus shed a tear...

Look for Less- Summer Casual

There are few things that I love more than a relaxed summer look. Having my summers off gives me time in the summer for lunch dates, shopping, and errand running. (What Husband? I am supposed be be getting a second job this summer!?) January Jones was seen sporting a fantastic summer look...

I decided to create my own summer casual look. Since I might have been accussed of spending to much money on shopping last summer (what ev), I worked really hard to create this outfit for less. Instead of each item being under $100, THE WHOLE OUTFIT IS UNDER $100!!! Yep, that included the shoes, hat, and bag. You're welcome.

Way to go Wal-Mart!

Morning! I hope you had a great weekend, despite the YUCK weather. You know you had a great weekend when you play two games of LIFE until three in the morning... it happens.

Recently, my mother called me to tell me to visit one of our favorite blogs- Fly Through Our Window. It's author, Darby, had found this delightful, little Norma Kamali dress at Wal-Mart for $18.00. I was very impressed with this dress, so I decided to take a little journey to Walmart.com, to look for myself.

I liked what I saw...

doA proud mom has to show off sometimes...

011

007

Husband took these pictures of Winnie and Lucy. I love them so much, it hurts.

Time for awkward transition #1. As you probably know, Elizabeth Taylor passed away on Wednesday. Now look at my daily calendar message on Thursday...
Liz Taylor

What a weird coincidence.

Awkward transistion #2- IT'S FRIDAY! To celebrate, Friday's Deal of the Day. My mom love Kohl's. Usually, we do not agree with clothes (I won't go into a recent tennis shoe conversation we had), but I love Kohl's too. I am such a fan of designer collaborations. These lace-up booties are from Vera Wang's Simply Vera line. They are on SALE for $29.99 (originally $79.99.) YAY! ENJOY!

Seriously?

First of all, read this article.

This is an 8 year old that has been arrested five times, but they cannot hold him in juvenile hall because of his size and age. The worst part: his arrests are because he assaulted his teachers!!!!! You know, biting, hitting, kicking, and throwing sticks!?!

...I think this made me appreciate my students...a lot.

Now to a happier subject, Friday's Deal of the Day!!! This comes courtesy of Forever 21. Like I said before, I have a love/hate relationship with this store, but MAAANNNNN, how cute is this wrap dress?!?!

00014256-02

Oh, wrap dress, how you make me lust for summer. Check out the price... you're welcome.
