Long Day, Long Night, Short Post

I survived one of the longest, hardest days yesterday. Nothing to tragic, just hard.

Only to come home (at 6-ugh) to realize Husband had a board dinner that kept us out until ten. (I'm usually in my REM cycle by 10:00.)

I am here though- ready for Thursday. I found this picture on Bippity Boppity Boo (the ultimate cheer you up site) is really making me smile. So no fashion, pregnancy, or teaching update- just working for the weekend :)

I Dig, Part Two

 My pal, Laura, gave it to me as a graduation present. It is big, flashy, and I love it.

Valentine has a new home on the bike wall. She has taken quite a liking to Bianchi.

Can you believe this amazing shirt? I am so glad that other people appreciate the Jack Russell/Golden combo. The Jack Russell even has a black ear like Lucy! You can buy it (for me) here.

Where do I begin? When Husband and I were engaged, we received this book at a shower. In all the chaos called life, it was put into a box and forgotten. A few months ago, I pulled it out, and decided that every night, Husband and I would read a meditation together and discuss it. I did not realize then that this would be one of the best things I could do for my marriage. I truly cherish the time at night where we turn off the computers, television, and phone, and spend time talking. Highly recommended for all couples.

And when we do watch television, we watch How I Met Your Mother. Since we do not have cable, we watch a lot of this. One of the funniest sitcoms ever!

Elephants and Bikes

They are my favorite. Oringinally, I wanted to name this blog "Elephants on Bikes," but you don't really think of style/teaching when you think of those things. Everyday, I wear either an elephant or a bicycle somewhere on me. It's my students favorite to try and find where. I would not dare show up to school without one or the other on.

Why are these my favorite? Roll Tide. Go here if you have no idea about what I am talking about. It is a tradition I stole from my Aunt Sue, and now proudly call me own. My bicycles came a little later on. Husband rides bicycles...a lot. He currently has three. (Did I mention that we do not have a garage, so the bikes live inside? Fantastic.) One of my favorite memories from college of him was when he wore his bicycle kit to a "Biker Babe" swap. Wearing a bicycle makes me feel close to him.
