Let's Talk About Pretty Things I Want and Don't Need

Antique Brass Soap and Sponge Holder

Do I have a claw foot tub? No. Do I have a bathtub at all? No. But if I did, this would be on it. And speaking of claw foot tubs...

That's it. I am going to demo my shower myself to put this baby in. Of course in order to afford it, I will need to tap dance for money.

And I don't think I am that great at tap dancing anymore.

Luxury Hotel & Spa Bath Towel 100% Genuine Turkish Cotton

When Brooks and I got married, we received so many towels. I remember thinking how we would never need towels. I wish I could have told young, naive Lindsey that seven years in, towels get gross. I think these would be a nice replacement.

Side Note: Isn't it funny how when I started this blog, I talked about fashion and dressing as a teacher? Now I rarely buy clothes that aren't leggings nor do I teach. Sigh....

On a rainy or cold day (I can't remember which it was...maybe both), I decided to push the boys around the mall to get them out of the house. I even got brave and took them into a store. (Want to make your store seem less cool? Have a mother push her double stroller around.) I really liked this dress. I thought about trying it on, but I remembered previously mentioned double stroller and decided that wasn't a good idea.

Gaines has apparently forgotten that he is almost a year old, and eating every two hours through the night is no longer neccessary. I think this might solve the problem. Momma's little hamster.

I better wrap it up. Woody is shoving puzzle pieces in my mouth.

I Need a Nap...and a Diet Coke, but I will settle for Peplum

The week before I went to work, my son was sleeping through the night. Not every night, but 3-4 times a week. My first week back, he decided to bring back his 2:00am feeding every night. This week, he has woken up at 12:00am and 3:00am for some "Hi, Mom!" time. That combined with a 5:00am wake-up time for this Momma is making for one draggy lady.

Oh, and carbonated beverages upset my dear son's sensitive belly. Diet Coke

On a fashion note (because where have they been lately), I was very excited to wear my new peplum top to work this week.

(Not me...)

I had some gift cards that I had been saving to dress my, no longer pregnant, but 10 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight body. Peplum hides muffin top like you wouldn't believe!

The top is from Zara, and it makes me oh, so happy. It will be making many appearances this fall.

Happy Friday! Can't wait to post Woody's THREE MONTH pictures Monday. (Try to hold in your excitement.)

I Think I Love You

Yesterday I ventured out to do a little shopping. I received many "Whoa" looks and people inquiring about how many babies were actually in my stomach (for the record, just one.) I quickly tired out after my two laps around the mall, but the sale at Zara caught my eye. And if you are wondering what I wore around the store with my pregnant belly hanging out, it would be this lovely lady.

Don't you love?

Best of Both Worlds

1. Life here is crazy. I have started teaching Extended Day two days a week, which means I am here at school until 5...if I am lucky. Wednesdays I am here late planning. I actually treasure Mondays...I can leave when I want.

2. With my crazy teaching life, I just don't have time to change out purses. I have never been a big purse gal (surprising, but true.) I tend to pick a bag that can go with anything and wear it until it has holes in it, only for it to reappear in 6-12 months when I decided that the holes really aren't THAT noticeable.

My heart belongs to my black and brown Longchamp. Even though I have had other Longchamp bags, this is my favorite because it is black AND brown (and has enough room to fit a small child in it.)

However, after three amazing years together (off and on), and the fact that I am pretty sure I am growing something in this bag, I have decided to venture out for another bag...two in fact. I am going to use another Longchamp bag as my "tote", but I also want need a black and brown "everyday" purse. Here are my favorites...

(I figured I should start out with the most expensive one.It is on sale though!)

(Sweet Price!)

Which is your favorite?
